Sagittarius, the sign the Sun is passing through. A new moon is a conjunction, so the two bodies always share it, and it moves on by one sign each month.
What time is the December new moon where I am?
09:08 UTC in Universal Time, which is one instant everywhere. New York runs five hours behind it, Madrid one or two ahead, Buenos Aires three; if it falls close to midnight your local date sits a day either side of 14 December 2031.
When is the next new moon after this one?
12 January 2032, in Capricorn. New moons repeat every 29 or 30 days, and the table above lists all of them for 2031.
What should I do on the December 2031 new moon?
Start one thing and keep it small enough to survive the week. The usual practice is to write one to three intentions within a day of 09:08 UTC and take a first step inside forty-eight hours, with Sagittarius setting the tone. Endings belong to the full moon a fortnight later.
