Tarot birth cards and birth arcana: what is the difference?
The tarot birth card method popularised by Mary K. Greer starts from the same date but keeps two cards. It adds the date as pairs of digits (month, day, and the two halves of the year), reduces a total above 22, and when the result has two digits reads both the number and the sum of its digits: 17 and 8 give The Star with Strength, 14 and 5 give Temperance with The Hierophant.
