May 2027 new moon: Thursday 6 May in Taurus
The May new moon is exact on Thursday, 6 May 2027 at 11:00 UTC, with the Moon and the Sun together in Taurus.
Meaning
A new moon in Taurus starts things that need to last: a savings rule, a bedtime, a rate you will charge. It does not reward speed, and what begins here tends to show its result a season later. Pick one you would still be doing in six months.
Rituals
- Set 1–3 intentions you can act on within 48 hours

- What would feel like self-respect this week?

What sign is the May new moon in?
Taurus, the sign the Sun is passing through. A new moon is a conjunction, so the two bodies always share it, and it moves on by one sign each month.
What time is the May new moon where I am?
11:00 UTC in Universal Time, which is one instant everywhere. New York runs five hours behind it, Madrid one or two ahead, Buenos Aires three; if it falls close to midnight your local date sits a day either side of 6 May 2027.
When is the next new moon after this one?
4 June 2027, in Gemini. New moons repeat every 29 or 30 days, and the table above lists all of them for 2027.
What should I do on the May 2027 new moon?
Start one thing and keep it small enough to survive the week. The usual practice is to write one to three intentions within a day of 11:00 UTC and take a first step inside forty-eight hours, with Taurus setting the tone. Endings belong to the full moon a fortnight later.
