Arcana of the day: today's Major Arcana by date
One Major Arcana for the whole day, taken from the date and the same for everyone.

The Devil
Temptation shows you what holds you, and the choice to step free is yours.
bondage · shadow · materialism · desire
Desire is loud today, and so is the pull of habits, easy comfort and other people's approval. None of it is evil in itself. What matters is whether you choose it or it chooses you. Notice the moment you reach for something without thinking; that pause is where your freedom starts. Intensity is a strength today when you stay the one in charge.
Love today
Attraction runs hot today, along with the urge to cling. Enjoy desire, but stop where it turns into jealousy or games. Check whether you want this person or the feeling of being wanted.
Work today
Ambition and a sharp sense for money help you today. Watch for offers that promise much but tie your hands. Where work feels like a trap, find a move that gives you more room.
Today is good for
- Being honest with yourself about what you really want
- Using your drive for a goal you chose freely
Avoid today
- Obeying every impulse and calling it freedom
- Handing your choices over to someone's approval

Temperance
Moderation wins: blend what you have, keep a calm rhythm, skip the extremes.
moderation · alchemy · integration · healing
The middle way works best today. Things go smoothly at a steady pace, with a little of everything and too much of nothing. Mixing is the skill of the day: your view and another's, caution and courage. Small adjustments, made often, do more good than big swings. Watch for all-or-nothing thinking, and for the urge to escape when progress feels slow.
Love today
Compromise feels natural today, so meet halfway. A calm, patient tone can heal a recent hurt between you. Blend your plans with your partner's so that nobody has to lose.
Work today
Alternate focused work with lighter tasks to keep your pace all day. Teams that mix different skills do especially well. For money, the moderate option is best: no splurges, no harsh cuts.
Today is good for
- Blending two different ideas into one
- Mixing work and rest in the right measure
Avoid today
- Swinging from one extreme to the other
- Spreading yourself across too many things at once

The Tower
The unexpected brings a truth into the open and clears the air.
upheaval · revelation · liberation · truth
A surprise shakes something loose today. A fact comes out, a pretense drops, or something you already doubted finally gives way. It can feel abrupt, yet you end up seeing the situation as it really is, and that is a gift. Do not rush to rebuild the old version. Take in what you now know, then decide what is worth keeping.
Love today
A hidden feeling or fact may come out between you today. Plain truth can shake a relationship and still leave it on firmer ground. Let it settle before you try to fix anything.
Work today
A weak point in a project may show itself; better today than later. Solve the real problem instead of covering it up. If a money plan rests on wishful thinking, adjust it calmly now.
Today is good for
- Telling the truth even if it shakes things up
- Facing facts you have been avoiding
Avoid today
- Defending a story that is no longer true
- Reacting in anger to surprising news

Questions about the arcana of the day
Which arcana is today?
Today, 22 October 2026, the arcana of the day is 15, The Devil.Today, 21 October 2026, the arcana of the day is 14, Temperance.Today, 23 October 2026, the arcana of the day is 16, The Tower.
How is the arcana of the day calculated?
Add up every digit of the date, then add up the digits of the total until it is 22 or less. 23 September 2026 gives 2+3+0+9+2+0+2+6 = 24, and 2+4 = 6, The Lovers.
Is it the same card for everyone?
Yes. Nothing is shuffled and nothing about you is used, so everyone on the same date gets the same arcana. It changes at midnight, so a friend in another time zone may already have the next day's card.
How is it different from a daily card draw?
A daily card is drawn at random for you alone. The arcana of the day comes from the date: one card for everyone, so a friend who opens your link sees the card you saw.
Is 11 Justice or Strength?
Justice. In the Rider–Waite order, 11 is Justice and 8 is Strength. Marseille decks swap the two, so a calculator built on Marseille gives Strength for 11.
Why do The Magician and The High Priestess never come up?
The digits of a date always add up to at least 3, and folding a larger total never lands on 1 or 2. Both cards keep their meaning, but no calendar day falls on them by this method.
