A strong year for the Dragon: the year's Fire feeds the Dragon's Earth and the Goat poses no conflict, so backing, reputation and steady progress come more easily than in most years.
The year as a whole
Big plans find backing this year. Nothing in the zodiac sets the Dragon against the Goat, and the Dragon is not on the Tai Sui list, so the year's animal leaves you free. The elements lean your way. The Dragon is an Earth animal, and the year's Fire feeds Earth. Tradition reads the element that feeds yours as backing: people and institutions that vouch for you, protect your name and lend weight to your plans. The Goat is Earth too, which brings peers who can be partners on one project and rivals on the next. The trap of a supported year is waiting to be carried. Use the backing to build something that lasts.
Love in 2027
The Dragon is used to leading in love, and 2027 asks you to let someone look after you for a change. A partner's support is real this year; accept it gracefully. Pride is the weak point: a Dragon who never admits a need leaves a partner guessing. Couples do well with long-range plans, such as a home, a family or a shared goal for the next few years. Single Dragons meet good matches through introductions from family and older friends.
Career in 2027
Senior people are on your side. A sponsor, a board, a major client or a long-time mentor may back a larger role or a project you have wanted to lead, and approvals that stalled before can come through. Ask for the mandate in plain terms and attach a timeline, because backing grows when people see steady delivery. The Goat's Earth also brings capable peers into the same race; make partners of the ones you cannot outrun. Treat support as something you keep earning.
Money in 2027
Money favors the long game this year. Gains come as value that builds: a raise tied to a bigger role, assets that grow over years, a stake in a project you believe in. Quick wins are rarer, since the year brings no Water, the element the Dragon controls and so its money element. The Dragon likes grand gestures, and spending to look successful is where gains can leak. Put big wants on a list, wait a few weeks, and buy only what still matters.
Health in 2027
Extra Earth tends to feel like heaviness: slow starts, a stiff back, energy that dips in the afternoon. Chinese tradition pairs Earth with digestion, and a year that feeds your Earth can leave you sluggish. A regular daily rhythm and a full night's sleep suit the Dragon this year. Movement that makes you sweat, done early in the day, clears the heaviness. The Dragon rarely admits fatigue, so let someone close to you call a break when they see one is due.
Dragon in 2027 by birth year
Born in January or early February? Your animal may be the one before: check your birth date.
1964 · Wood Dragon
Your Wood birth year feeds the year's Fire, which in turn feeds your Earth, so what you give comes back. In your early sixties, the year suits advising, a family project or a long-postponed trip.
1976 · Fire Dragon
Double Fire behind your Earth gives you drive and authority at fifty-one. A leadership step fits the year; let others finish their sentences before you decide.
1988 · Earth Dragon
Your Earth is doubled, since both the Dragon and 1988 are Earth, and the year's Fire feeds it. Near forty, you are steady and hard to move; welcome advice you did not ask for.
2000 · Metal Dragon
Fire tests your Metal, and the Dragon's Earth sits between them, turning pressure into structure. At twenty-seven, a formal title, a first team to lead or a serious qualification pays off.
2012 · Water Dragon
The Water of the birth year pairs with the year's Fire, a combination linked to good company. At fifteen, new friends and a teacher who spots the young Dragon's talent make school brighter.
2024 · Wood Dragon
At two or three, the Wood Dragon has energy and curiosity to spare, since the chain from Wood to Fire to Earth runs its way. New playmates and preschool suit the child.

Questions about the Dragon in 2027
Is 2027 a good year for the Dragon?
Yes, a good one. The Goat leaves the Dragon alone, and the year's Fire feeds the Dragon's Earth, which brings backing from senior people and steady progress on long-term plans. Complacency is the main risk.
Is the Dragon at odds with Tai Sui in 2027?
No. The Goat, the Ox, the Rat and the Dog are the animals at odds with Tai Sui this year, and the Dragon has no tie or clash with the Goat. The next year is friendlier still: the Monkey year, from 26 January 2028, puts the Dragon in a trine with the Monkey and the Rat.
What is the Dragon's element in 2027?
The Dragon's branch belongs to Earth, and the year's Fire feeds Earth. Each Dragon also carries the element of its birth year, set by the last digit: 1964 and 2024 are Wood, 1976 Fire, 1988 Earth, 2000 Metal and 2012 Water.
What are the lucky colors for the Dragon in 2027?
All three of the Dragon's traditional lucky colors, gold, silver and grayish white, belong to Metal. Metal is the element Earth produces, so in a year that feeds the Dragon's Earth these colors give the extra strength an outlet and keep it from hardening into stubbornness.
