The Sun
Core identity and life purpose
The Sun is the plot. It is how you shine when nobody is coaching you, the vitality you spend, the story you keep trying to tell.

Sun in your sign
Tap the sign your Sun was in at birth. That is the one people mean when they ask what sign you are.
House
Sun in the houses
The house is the room where you shine. Same Sun, twelve different stages. You need a birth time for this.
How to read it
What Sun is doing in a chart
In a chart the Sun is the centre of gravity. Not the whole person — the through-line. It is the way you take up space when you are not performing, the flavour of pride, the kind of recognition that actually feeds you. Everything else in the sky comments on it.
The sign describes how that light behaves: loud or quiet, steady or restless, hungry for the stage or for a private win. The house is where you spend it — work, love, the inner rooms. Same Sun, different life, depending on the room it sits in.
Read the Sun first, then the Moon. The rest of the planets will make more sense once you know what they are orbiting. If you only have time for one placement, make it this one.
Your Sun sign is the date of birth, almost always. The house needs a time and a place. Aspects — especially to the Moon, Saturn, and the angles — change how easily that light gets out.
