When the most planets are retrograde at once
The busiest stretch runs from 7 October, 14:32 UT, to 18 October, 03:07 UT: for about 10.5 days, 5 planets are retrograde at once (Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). Mercury's station opens it, and Pluto's closes it.
How 2027 differs from 2026
Venus and Mars swap places. Mars moves forward through all of 2026 and is retrograde from 10 January to 1 April 2027; Venus turns back in October 2026 and stays direct through 2027. Mercury changes character too: each 2026 window stays inside one water sign, while each 2027 window backs out of water into air. Jupiter holds one window instead of two, and it ends in April, leaving about eight and a half months clear. Uranus spends both of its windows in Gemini. Saturn stations about two weeks later than in 2026, Neptune and Pluto only two days later.

Which planets are retrograde in 2027?
Seven of the eight: Mercury three times, Uranus twice (one window carried over from 2026 and one running into 2028), and Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto once each. Venus stays direct all year.
When is nothing retrograde in 2027?
From 13 April, when Jupiter turns direct, to 8 May, when Pluto turns retrograde: about 25 days. It is the only such stretch of the year.
Is Venus retrograde in 2027?
No. Venus turns retrograde roughly every nineteen months, and 2027 falls between two windows: 3 October to 14 November 2026, and 10 May to 22 June 2028.
What is the first retrograde of 2027?
Mars, which turns retrograde on 10 January while Jupiter and Uranus are already retrograde from 2026. Mercury follows on 9 February.
Which retrograde lasts longest in 2027?
Pluto's: 163 days, from 8 May to 18 October. Neptune's comes next at 159 days, and the two Uranus windows run about 150 days each.
