The reading
What 2027 holds
You have more of the 2027 sky in your sign than in any year for a long while. Jupiter is in Leo until 25 July, and Mars is there from 21 February to 14 May. On 2 August a total solar eclipse falls at 9 degrees Leo, during the weeks the Sun, your ruling planet, spends in your sign. Your Leo horoscope for 2027 still starts late, and you gain speed only after March.
How it may feel
From January to March you may feel full of plans and short of traction. Jupiter is retrograde in Leo, your first house, the part of the chart for your body and how you start things, until 13 April. Mars turns retrograde on 10 January in Virgo, your second house of income, and from 21 February it moves backwards through Leo itself, so impatience may sit close to the surface until 1 April. From April the pace rises, and by July you may have more in motion than you can hold.
Where to put your attention
Put your attention on your first house until 25 July. With Jupiter in your sign you can change how you present yourself and what you put your name to. The eclipses of 2027 fall across your first house and your seventh, the part of the chart for partnership and contracts: in Aquarius on 6 February and 17 August, in Leo on 2 August. You will spend the year weighing your own aims against the claims of the people beside you. From 26 July Jupiter is in Virgo, your second house, and the same weighing turns to income.
What could trip you up
The main risk in 2027 is excess. Until 25 July, with Jupiter in your sign, more will look possible than you can finish. Avoid starting anything large between 10 January and 1 April, while Mars is retrograde. Saturn is in Aries, your ninth house, the part of the chart for study and travel, all year; it is retrograde from 9 August to 24 December, so you may need to revisit plans for study or travel. Mercury turns retrograde three times: 9 February to 3 March, 10 June to 4 July and 7 to 28 October.
